Our Finish

The finish consists of 8 coats of UV cured acrylic latex followed by 2 coats of aluminum oxide. Aluminum oxide is a white powder additive that turns clear when added to acrylic latex. These last two coats are what give the finish its hardness. Acrylic latex is a non yellowing finish and there are no oils used in the finishing process, which prevents the possibility of any outgases. The 10 coat process used in finishing these hardwoods is the most durable finish on the market. Many hardwood manufacturers use Porcelain or ceramic finishes to keep production costs low. Most household cleaners will remove the shine from these finishes, leaving the floor looking old and worn. Our hardwoods have a finish that will hold up to many years of cleaning and still retain its luster. Aluminum oxide will not bond with urethane or paint. Therefore any spilled urethane or paint can be allowed to dry and remove effortlessly without damage to the finish.

Don’t be fooled by an inferior finish when you can walk on the hardest and most durable surface available.
