Country of Origin: Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Brazil
Color Range: Bloodwood exhibits a fairly wide range of color variation, from pale orange colors through to deep blood red. Bloodwood undergoes a medium degree of color change from pale orangey reds to a deep dark red as it ages.
Botanical name: Brosimum, rubescens
Other Names: Muirapiranga, Satine Rubane, Cardinal Wood
Hardness: 2900 as compared to: Red oak- 1260 & N maple- 1450
